The new contracted gardeners on Condado De Alhama have wasted no time in beginning the improvements they offered as part of their contract.

All the swimming pools on Condado De Alhama are to be installed with a new drainage system around the edge of the tiled area to prevent the grass dying during the swim season. This work has started today, pictured above is Naranjos 8, no heavy machinery is being used as to prevent damage to the gardens.

The unsettled wet weather is over now and the forecast tomorrow is full sun and 24 degrees. A week of rains and a mud storm has left us all ready for the Sun…I know, only a week of rain and we are all looking up at the skies in despair, but come rain or shine, the gardeners have been out in force all week working to keep our resort looking better than ever.

LUCINDA from the TV show, Stars in their eyes will be performing LIVE Saturday 19th January at the Condado Club. Tickets are FREE but numbers will be limited. Lucinda performs all over the Costa Calida and Costa Blanca and is a real favourite so it is bound to be a good nights entertainment. The Condado Club will have their full menu available. A free cabaret to kick off this years entertainment on Condado, you can´t beat that. Doors open at 9PM.

The fiesta may be over now but it will be remembered by thousands. The Medieval Market could not be more suited to a venue. Condado De Alhama was again, busier than ever with owners, holiday makers and resort visitors who all took part in our August fiesta and everyone had a ball!

Lots of entertainment for the kids of all ages between the Condado Club and Al Kasar. with sports activities, competitions and games. Bouncy castles and lot of stalls selling different Medieval Treats, craft demonstrations, BBQ and some modern day beverages. Not to mention the famous camel and donkeys that due to the crowds were restricted to the parking lot area this time.

The fancy dress competition was huge, with kids young and old taking part and enjoying the whole idea.

Fancy dress seems to be a huge favourite in Spain, lots of imagination went into the costumes and as the music played the competitors performed a dance or a routine to suit their costume. The competition was held on the main stage, the most original costume and performance was won by a group of youngsters that represented the London Olympics, demonstating many of the atheletes, the winners of the best costume went to a group of young ladies that performed and dressed as Hawaiian´s. Over all very entertaining.

The bars and restaurants of Al Kasar also all enjoyed a full house again for the three fiesta nights. The live entertainment was brilliant every night and could be seen clearly from all the bars on the big concert stage.

The atmosphere and high spirit on Condado this summer has been amazing but it has all gone by so quick this year, a sentiment voiced by many. One thing for sure, everyone that spent this summer at Condado will be planning to spend next year the same. All the hard work that went into the fiestas was well appreciated and was awarded to the committee and Mileniun with lots of happy smiley faces.

Our fiestas are an important event on Condado De Alhama, it gives the resort an opportunity to show off it´s facilities to people that might not otherwise come. The fiesta season on Condado De Alhama is over now but what a memory of summer 2012 you will hold with you if you were lucky enough to attend. Until next year Condado. Salud

Condado De Alhama is raising money over the next two weeks for the Seve Ballesteros Foundation which is a brain cancer charity.

This Thursday 26th APRIL and 1st MAY The Condado Club will host a Petanque Competition and it would be absolutely great if everyone joined in….it may take a while to get through..but there is plenty of food and drink at the Condado Club so I am sure we can make it through.

Fiesta 2010

The Condado De Alhama fiesta 2011 is just around the corner now and with so much going on there will be plenty of activities for everyone.  A true Spanish fiesta with parades, paella, cheap drink, organized games for the children and lots of partying. A full program will be released in the coming days by Mileniun who apart from their excellent everyday management of the resort have put tremendous effort in making the fiesta possible.

The resort is very busy right now with people enjoying the sun and pools. The bar and restaurant are enjoying the pre summer rush and everyone is very positive about the things going on here. Interest has been high on Al Kasar and by this time next year I think we will have a buzzing little town center. The changes really kick off this Saturday with our new market that has been advertised in towns throughout Murcia so I am sure we will see a crowd attending and it will grow into a successful market from there. Come on down to the Al Kasar parking lot on Saturday to enjoy the opening celebrations starting at 6pm.  The fiesta on the 22nd will kick off at 10am on July 22nd. If you can’t make the July fiesta there will be another full program for 3 days in August. We will bring you all the news and events as they happen throughout the summer season.
