We are very excited to bring you the news that Condado De Alhama will soon have its very own Beauty and Hair salon located in the heart of Condado, Al Kasar.

Construction is beginning soon on the brand new facility that will offer a total range of beauty treatments.

The new large facility will offer, 3 beauty treatment rooms, 4 hairdressers stations including for the gents a barber, a full nail bar and much more. Imagine having a full spa day on Condado De Alhama.. your wish has been granted.

The owners, Leanne and Ian Croakrin residents in Naranjos 7 are very excited to be investing in Condado and into this new venture. Leanne has been the resident beautician on Condado for over a year at The Condado Club and you will know her husband Ian from the Condado Kids Club. They feel it is time to expand and spread their wings and they are looking forward to serving the communities beauty needs for years to come.

Last night Big G´s American Diner on Condado De Alhama opened their doors and fired up the ovens for the very first time for a special private birthday party, although not officially open yet they did a fantastic job. The food and service was excellent and the place has a real nice feeling about it, you can´t help but sing along to the rock and roll oldies coming from the juke box…

Ribs, Cajun Chicken, Burgers and hot dogs with all the American trimmings, Apple crumble, cheesecake and ice cream and the not to be missed Oreo All American milk shakes made for a great night.

Big G´s American Diner proved last night that they are “all that and a bag of chips!”

They hope to be open to the public this coming week, so come hungry..

It has been amazing to watch the bars and restaurants adapt throughout the last year to find their place within the community of Condado De Alhama. This week we will feature some of the changes that the different bars and restaurants have made to attract their own crowd. Each venue is offering more than last year and each have grown since last year, they have all made it through their first winter, are more prepared for their second summer and are all excited to see the crowds returning to the square.

Gone are most of the leather couches to be replaced by gaming tables to entertain the kids and lots of delicious ice cream…chilled coffee, hot coffee and iced cocktails.

And the crowds are coming, it appears to be very popular with the kids and the parents are enjoying it too, iced beer sitting in the sun, while the kids play. Can´t be bad!

Sabores welcome to your second summer at Condado De Alhama.

Spring is well under way in Murcia, but in fact it is starting to feel like summer. The buzz on the resort is that the weather on Thursday will hit 29 degrees in the sun, perfect weather for your sunshine break in Spain. The resort has seen a record number of Easter visitors and last minute arrivals to escape the cold weather hitting most of Europe. This week the weather forecast is glorious, sunshine, warm temperatures and light winds.

The bars at Al Kasar are also feeling summer as they prepare for the long hot days by setting outside bars and canopies and brush up on their summer cocktails.

If your vacation is this week and you are arriving on Condado De Alhama, prepare to strip off and go home with a tan. The pools are still cool but…that is not stopping some from taking the plunge.

The golf course at Condado De Alhama is getting increasingly busy as word gets out about the great course here on the resort. There are not many days now where a coach does not arrive full of golfers for the day. What a difference a year makes.

All 6 sister Jack Nicklaus golf courses are under the management of resort owners IRM who are doing a wonderful job promoting the courses. You can now book your Tee time online, this is advisable. This week a few regular golfers on Condado De Alhama who came for the Easter found that they could not play as the course was fully booked so it is advisable to book in advance just to avoid disappointment.

The course looks good, Lauren and Iain from Penthouse 16 took a walk out after hours yesterday to inspect the lakes for us, its a rotten job but someone has to do it. It was a beautiful day today, perfect for golf, 24 degrees, low winds and full sun.

The Easter Fayre preparations are complete and it looks like it is going to be great!

The Condado Club and CPR have worked very hard to make sure you have a wonderful Easter Sunday so come on out to The Condado Club for a full day of fun and entertainment. It all starts at mid-day and goes through to 5pm when we will finish the day with the Easter bonnet parade. The Easter fayre is open to all, if you are coming from the surrounding communities just ask security to point you towards The Condado Club. The kitchen and bar will be open all day. BRING YOUR FLOWER

Paramount Murcia Entrance

Paramount Park news continues this week as the Minister of Tourism and Culture, Pedro Alberto Cruz, expressed yesterday during the presentation of the Easter Mining Union, the future of the Paramount park “I speak with full knowledge of what I say.”

He acknowledged that the start of construction was delayed by two months, which was due to the approval of the City Council special plan Alhama. “In about two weeks, work will start.” when asked about funding, Cruz said that both the leaders of Paramount as the local promoter, with which I meet weekly, are calm, “Jesus Samper has several alternatives for raising the necessary funds.”

Those responsible for the multinational park are committed to the progress of the project in Alhama, “The park will be launched in 2015. “

It seems the beginning of this project becoming reality is just around the corner, literally.

The new contracted gardeners on Condado De Alhama have wasted no time in beginning the improvements they offered as part of their contract.

All the swimming pools on Condado De Alhama are to be installed with a new drainage system around the edge of the tiled area to prevent the grass dying during the swim season. This work has started today, pictured above is Naranjos 8, no heavy machinery is being used as to prevent damage to the gardens.

The unsettled wet weather is over now and the forecast tomorrow is full sun and 24 degrees. A week of rains and a mud storm has left us all ready for the Sun…I know, only a week of rain and we are all looking up at the skies in despair, but come rain or shine, the gardeners have been out in force all week working to keep our resort looking better than ever.
