More services considered at the Golf Resort is a welcome bit of news for owners who depend on these type of  services for full exposure and enjoyment of their Holiday and Vacation Apartments.

The temperature today is 43 degrees, tomorrow is set to be even hotter. The evening is set to be a comfortable 28 degrees cool enough to dance the night away. If you are at Condado De Alhama or in the area, don’t miss what is bound to be a great night.

The stage is set..

The trees are wrapped, the bar is ready….grass skirts to come later.

Whether Polaris World installed this entrance because of the winter months that are coming, which will make the travel between both establishments much easier on the public. We are glad that this has been done, as it may possibly give food service to the bar patrons as well.

Expanding service

This summer has been very busy so any improvements are welcomed. No sign of a coffee shop yet, but maybe next summer they can open one in one of the entrances to the supermarket for the early birds. They do have a bakery and fresh fruit to serve up. Just a thought.  The restaurant does open at 11 and serves coffee and tapas.

The Jack Nicklaus Signature Course at Condado De Alhama, re-opened today to players. The course was closed due to strong storms during this week causing damage and washout. Olagolf are happy enough with the course to open it today at 13.00hrs. A relief to golfer on the resort. The bunkers still require work but this will continue with the course open.

A further development, Jardin 2 pool that was also closed due to storm damage has now been cleaned and is open.

The roads on the resort are now clean for the most part, a credit to the administration, Olagolf and the contractors that keep this resort in great condition.

The rain storm this morning was so heavy it temporarily closed down the resort as security would not let people leave.

The inner ring road flooded quickly as did some of the apartments. Condado De Alhama coped very well, many other towns are impassable this afternoon, all the way from Aguilas to Mazarron.  Low lying roads remain flooded. Alhama De Murcia city workers are still working on a major water line break so the resort is also suffering from no tap water.

A few cars that were stranded or caught in high water are being towed away from Condado, once they are gone it will be easy to forget the storm ever happened.

Now the sun is shining and guests are taking to the pools that are full to the brim. The gardens enjoyed the real good soaking.

Unsettled weather will continue until Thursday.

The Mucia region has been struggling this month with the heavy rain storms crossing the area, something that is typically reserved for a little later in the year. The heavy rains continue to pound Condado De Alhama this morning following a few days of very unsettled weather. It is expected that this particular rain storm will continue throughout the day, keeping temperatures unusually low only reaching only the mid 20′s for the rest of the day, things look to improve tomorrow but the unsettled weather will continue for a few more days to come.

If you are driving around the area in the next few days you should avoid low lying side roads and mountain tracks like those to the coves as it will take the authorities several days to repair these tracks following a rain like this.

Every year unexpected tourists are known to get stuck when their favorite beach or cove road suddenly becomes impassable. If you are driving from the airport today, stick to the motorways and avoid your favorite short cuts and you will be fine.

August is typically a month that is so hot the Spanish people take it off.. there are unusual weather patterns all over the world and Murcia is no exception.

The Captains Day presentation took place last night in Naranjos 4, the evening was a sell out and the pig roast was a big success. Barry Barker and Graham White organized the event and work hard on the golf association every week to make it the success it is today, a lot of prizes were handed to the golfers but Graham and Barry also took the time to thank Cathy Emmitt who works very hard also every week on the golfers certificates and helping to organize events like these. The results from the mini tournament are below with the Captains Day Trophy going to  Dean Valentine pictured below.

The elimination rounds will play and the finals are expected to be around 1.30PM. Lots of footballs being given as prizes at the event to lots of very excited players. A great turn out and start to Fiesta 2010 at Condado De Alhama, hosted by Neighbours of Condado.
