It has been amazing to watch the bars and restaurants adapt throughout the last year to find their place within the community of Condado De Alhama. This week we will feature some of the changes that the different bars and restaurants have made to attract their own crowd. Each venue is offering more than last year and each have grown since last year, they have all made it through their first winter, are more prepared for their second summer and are all excited to see the crowds returning to the square.

Gone are most of the leather couches to be replaced by gaming tables to entertain the kids and lots of delicious ice cream…chilled coffee, hot coffee and iced cocktails.

And the crowds are coming, it appears to be very popular with the kids and the parents are enjoying it too, iced beer sitting in the sun, while the kids play. Can´t be bad!

Bokao, is the little bar on the right as you enter Al Kasar at Condado De Alhama, the bar has been open now for a few months now but seems to be going largely missed by visitors who tend to enter Al Kasar and turn left. The bar was opened by owner and resident of Condado, Julio Cuesta, originally from Madrid but who purchased his apartment on Jardin 13, 5 years ago before moving to Condado to become a permanent resident and full fill his dream of owning and running a bar on the resort.

Julios vision for the bar was to offer a good relaxing Spanish atmosphere, offering quality tapas made from local produce to his guests, using only fine ingredients and offering them at reasonable prices. His vision for the future is to expand his chill out area for guests to enjoy and to bring live music to the bar as soon as he can.
The bar is already a very welcoming and relaxing venue with excellent tapas that come free with every beer, quality salads, and the best burger on Condado, freshly prepared with goats cheese and caramelised onions… delicious and only 4.50 Euros. (Burger #4 on the menu)

They offer breakfast, lunch and dinners and all at a very reasonable price. A full range of beer, cocktails and weekly specials.are also offered. This weeks special, tabla de Ibericos, is a traditional Spanish Table with Iberian Ham and Cheese served to you with a bottle of red wine for only 12 €

The bar maintains a very Spanish feel but the staff speak English and all menus are presented in Spanish and English. Nathan Kelly, originally from Shropshire has been working at Bokao since August. Nathan is also a full time resident on Condado De Alhama in Jardines 7. He attended school in Spain and has lived here for 13 years. Nathan is offering Spanish lessons at Bokao in the mornings for 7€ an hour. Pop in and talk to him if you are interested in improving your Spanish during your stay.
Bokao cover all the Spanish League football matches on their big screen. This Saturday it is bound to be a great atmosphere at the bar as Barcelona kick off against Getafe at 8pm, followed by more football fun at 10pm with the match , Real Madrid against Sevilla.
All the bars on Condado need all of our support, don´t forget the little bar on the right, Bokao. They are ready and waiting to serve you.
Most of the commercial units have now been leased on Condado with only a couple left for offer. We will soon have a Route 66, American diner joining the Al Kasar family which is exciting news. Support all our businesses when you visit Condado.

By this time next year we should have a full Al Kasar, full of bars, restaurants, guest services, shops and plenty more to bring people flocking to our resort. Its been a fantastic 2012 for Condado and by the look of the way things are going it is going to only get better in 2013.

It is official, Condado De Alhama now has it´s fully functioning golf club house. Now open for business from 7.30AM – 6.30PM. You can now enjoy your 19th hole with a beer, wine and a snack. The menu includes, salads, burgers, fries, sandwiches, a perfect menu for the end of your game.
The bar is well stocked and the surroundings are very pleasant.
I am sure that the opening of the Alhama Signature Course club house will bring a lot of golfers from other areas of Murcia to play a round on our Jack Nicklaus Signature Course. We expect this to improve rental opportunities for owners wishing to rent their apartments to golfers. This will to extend their rental period well into December.

The bar and cafe will be run by IRM directly and will open in 2 weeks. In the meantime there is a drinks vending machine and chocolate bars on sale in the pro shop.

The front of the building houses the pro shop to the right, with the shower rooms and bathroom facilities and to the left you can see the construction almost complete for the bar/cafe.

The kitchen area that is behind the bar is well equipped and a good size so I am sure they are preparing to offer some nice meal and snack options later this month.

The opening of the Club House is an important event for Condado, with a first class golf course the only thing we were missing was the drinking hole…opening in just 2 weeks!!
We are almost there. Our season on the resort will grow now as the only thing keeping the golfers at bay was the lack of this facility.

Miguel Jimenez, one of Spain´s top golfers today visited Condado De Alhama to enjoy a round of golf on the Jack Nicklaus Signature Course.
Miguel Jimenez nicked named the Mechanic, spent the blazing hot day making his way around the course with some of the golf association watching on. Pictured below with Dorothy Simpson of Condado.

It is always a pleasure of mine to see Condado De Alhama residents doing well…in what ever they do. The short film you are about to watch features a young man from Naranjos 4, Edward Miller, playing the older brother in a movie set to go into primary schools in England to warn youngsters against gang life…Edward works alot with the children of Condado during the season, helping with football camps and other children activities. Good luck Edward in this venture, and know that Condado De Alhama is behind you…all the way.
Well the e mails have been coming for a peak at the new club house under construction at Condado De Alhama so lets take a closer peak…
The construction of the Condado De Alhama club house is now well under way. There was no shortage of workers on the job site today and you can now begin to see what the finished project may look like.
The building that used to be the sales office for Polaris World has now been painted white to fit in with it´s surroundings and is beginning to look like it belongs. If you look closely at the picture you will see that they have started some stone work in the landscape area.
The parking are that was once gravel is now paved and will be lined shortly, there is also a nice paved pathway that is going to lead you from the parking area to the golf course.

Overall, the project is coming along very well and I am sure, come the summer season..it will be finished and you will be able to enjoy the facilities.
It´s all good on Condado.
Walking around the resort right now you will notice nothing but development…and for those who said Al Kasar would not be occupied by the summer have to take their hats off…La Cata, the new Spanish take away venue is coming real close to opening their doors..projected opening is 23rd June and it looks like they will join, The Clover, The Bulgarian Bistro, The Ice Cream Parlour, The supermarket, Quality Homes, Mileniun Levante and the town hall….on time as scheduled.. followed closely by the Spanish tapas bar.
