If you picked this week for your spring vacation at Condado De Alhama, you have picked well. The weather today was certainly warm enough to hit the beach and the temperatures are only going to get hotter as we go through this next week. Plenty of sunshine in the forecast for the next 10 days.

The sea is warming up fast and today there were plenty of people taking a dip. All the local restaurants were full and the atmosphere was one of summer. Bolnuevo has a new paseo spanning the full length of the beach from the Oasis bar to the Mazarron/Bolnuevo roundabout, a truly beautiful walk on a day like today.

This weeks weather for Condado De Alhama

Enjoy the sunshine and remember, it is always much hotter in the full sun so cover up..Ive seen a few horribly sunburned bodies already. According to the majority…the swimming pools on Condado are now warm enough to take a dip so staying cool on Condado will not be a problem.

It has been amazing to watch the bars and restaurants adapt throughout the last year to find their place within the community of Condado De Alhama. This week we will feature some of the changes that the different bars and restaurants have made to attract their own crowd. Each venue is offering more than last year and each have grown since last year, they have all made it through their first winter, are more prepared for their second summer and are all excited to see the crowds returning to the square.

Gone are most of the leather couches to be replaced by gaming tables to entertain the kids and lots of delicious ice cream…chilled coffee, hot coffee and iced cocktails.

And the crowds are coming, it appears to be very popular with the kids and the parents are enjoying it too, iced beer sitting in the sun, while the kids play. Can´t be bad!

Sabores welcome to your second summer at Condado De Alhama.

Sabores serve a traditional Spanish breakfast, brandy and tostada..with a little coffee.

Condado De Alhama is now on the local bus route which means that you will be able to travel by bus to connect with Alhama De Murcia, Murcia City and Mazarron.

This public transport option available on the resort is vital for guests and owners who either do not have a car or do not wish to drive on the local roads. The bus will leave from Al Kasar parking lot Monday through Saturday. Fares are between 6€ and 8€ return.

Mileniun and the presidents this term and last term and in particular John from Jardin 3, have worked long and hard to make this possible. Convincing Alhama that our residents and guests, want and need this service. Now we have it, it is up to you now to use the service to keep it.

We already have an airport shuttle service provided by Condado Excursions making your transit to the resort quick and easy and now with the bus service available as well, you will be able to choose whether or not you actually need to hire a car at all.

Taking the bus to Alhama De Murcia or Murcia city will link you with the vast train network Spain has to offer, from here you can go anywhere in Spain or in fact Europe….Spain s public transport is reliable, efficient and affordable.

A bus goes both ways, not only taking people from the resort but also bringing people to the resort. Enjoy the new service, The bus service will begin on Condado De Alhama April 15th from the AL KASAR parking lot, please, plan to take the bus!

Spring is well under way in Murcia, but in fact it is starting to feel like summer. The buzz on the resort is that the weather on Thursday will hit 29 degrees in the sun, perfect weather for your sunshine break in Spain. The resort has seen a record number of Easter visitors and last minute arrivals to escape the cold weather hitting most of Europe. This week the weather forecast is glorious, sunshine, warm temperatures and light winds.

The bars at Al Kasar are also feeling summer as they prepare for the long hot days by setting outside bars and canopies and brush up on their summer cocktails.

If your vacation is this week and you are arriving on Condado De Alhama, prepare to strip off and go home with a tan. The pools are still cool but…that is not stopping some from taking the plunge.

The golf course at Condado De Alhama is getting increasingly busy as word gets out about the great course here on the resort. There are not many days now where a coach does not arrive full of golfers for the day. What a difference a year makes.

All 6 sister Jack Nicklaus golf courses are under the management of resort owners IRM who are doing a wonderful job promoting the courses. You can now book your Tee time online, this is advisable. This week a few regular golfers on Condado De Alhama who came for the Easter found that they could not play as the course was fully booked so it is advisable to book in advance just to avoid disappointment.

The course looks good, Lauren and Iain from Penthouse 16 took a walk out after hours yesterday to inspect the lakes for us, its a rotten job but someone has to do it. It was a beautiful day today, perfect for golf, 24 degrees, low winds and full sun.

The Easter celebrations went so well today despite the warm but rainy weather. Lots of families came out in support of CPR, (Condado Primary Responce) and had a lot of fun raising money for a very worthy cause. Over 1300€ was raised today, so well done everyone.

Murcia dance group, got the party started with a presentation of some of their dance routines all performed by children from Condado, camposol and the surrounding areas. It was great to see the children perform and enjoying themselves.

Paella and BBQ, lots of fun competitions and charity stalls set up and run but volunteers, well done to Brian, Helen, Leslie, Mick, Helen, Les and everyone else that worked so hard all day.

The kids really enjoyed the Easter egg hunt and Easter bonnet competition. After all this, the sun came out and everyone was able to move to the terrace to listen to the wonderful talents of PITU, a great Spanish Dj and singer. Time to relax with a few..beverages.

The Condado Club staff, of which there were many, all played a vital role in making today a success. I think everyone who attended had a wonderful day and I sure that next Easter, everyone will come back and do it all over again.

The resort is very busy, I think I can say that this is the busiest Easter holiday we have had. Tomorrow, another sunny day is forecast so if you are lucky enough to be here, enjoy!

The Condado Club and CPR have worked very hard to make sure you have a wonderful Easter Sunday so come on out to The Condado Club for a full day of fun and entertainment. It all starts at mid-day and goes through to 5pm when we will finish the day with the Easter bonnet parade. The Easter fayre is open to all, if you are coming from the surrounding communities just ask security to point you towards The Condado Club. The kitchen and bar will be open all day. The supermarket on Condado De Alhama will operate a normal opening hour schedule throughout the Easter holidays. Opening all day Monday – Saturday and on Sundays opening until around mid-day. They are well stocked and the staff are ready to serve you. It is exciting to see the preparations for this holiday season. Already the resort has swelled in numbers as visitors begin to arrive with many many more arriving this week ready for the Easter weekend holiday.

The supermarket are not stocking Easter Eggs but you can buy your Easter eggs at Carols Condado Gift and Golf shop for only 5€ so everyone will have the chocolate they need for Easter Sunday.

Easter temperatures are perfect for getting out and about and visiting some of the local attractions. This week, we headed off to Elche to check out Rio Safari to see what it had to offer. It takes about an hour to drive to the park from Condado De Alhama but it was an hour well spent. The park had a great friendly atmosphere about it with an elephant show, sea-lion show and exotic bird presentation. The staff at the park did a great job presenting the displays in English and Spanish.

all the animal shows were timed so that you could go easily between them and enjoy them all within your day.

They also offer a trip around the park on the safari train where they open the gates and take you into the enclosures for a more up close encounter.

Plenty of opportunities to have your picture taken with the staff and animals, and if the weather is warm enough or if you have seal like skin, you can arrange to swim with them.

There is a small restaurant for your lunch or a cold beer or if you prefer you are welcome to take a picnic. Nuts are on sale to feed the animals as you go around, the monkeys will really entertain you for a peanut and the giraffe will take it softly from your hand.

Rio Safari Elche, was a small but extremely friendly and entertaining park. Take a trip out, I am sure you will enjoy your day.

The Clover Bar, Condado De Alhama has organized a very happy St. Patricks Day celebration. This year we will have a POT LUCK style buffet and great live entertainment for you all night.

A Pot Luck, is where you cook your favourite dish and bring it along to share with everyone attending. Lynn and Neil said it is not compulsory to bring a dish, if you can´t or shouldn´t cook…lets face it we are not all chefs..you can just come along and enjoy the buffet anyway and join in the party. With a Pot Luck, there is always plenty of food to go around. Everyone is welcome and invited, with or without a dish.

The Irish themed entertainment will be provided by Sandy, a local entertainer that will be performing all your favourite songs. Guinness on tap all night.. what more could you want. Happy St. Patricks Day!
