Thursday, May 16th, 2013

The Major of Alhama De Murcia holding the Plan for the Paramount office to open in May

La Verdad announced in March that the new Paramount office was to be located in the Poligono Alhama De Murcia and would be open in May for the selection of workers to begin. We went looking for the office and sure enough…

The New offices of Paramount Murcia

The selection of workers for the construction phase is under way and the office is open for business. Residents of Alhama De Murcia will be given preference in selection, opening the opportunity door second to Murcia residents and finally to the whole of Spain. The jobs most sought after are catering, entertainment, customer service and maintenance.

Applicants should or would be preferred to have a second language of either English or French.

So Condado, if you are looking for work, you have the English and now you have an incentive to brush up on your Spanish if you haven’t perfected it already.

Easter Sunday, at The Condado Club, a great success!

Sunday, March 31st, 2013

The Easter celebrations went so well today despite the warm but rainy weather. Lots of families came out in support of CPR, (Condado Primary Responce) and had a lot of fun raising money for a very worthy cause. Over 1300€ was raised today, so well done everyone.

Murcia dance group, got the party started with a presentation of some of their dance routines all performed by children from Condado, camposol and the surrounding areas. It was great to see the children perform and enjoying themselves.

Paella and BBQ, lots of fun competitions and charity stalls set up and run but volunteers, well done to Brian, Helen, Leslie, Mick, Helen, Les and everyone else that worked so hard all day.

The kids really enjoyed the Easter egg hunt and Easter bonnet competition. After all this, the sun came out and everyone was able to move to the terrace to listen to the wonderful talents of PITU, a great Spanish Dj and singer. Time to relax with a few..beverages.

The Condado Club staff, of which there were many, all played a vital role in making today a success. I think everyone who attended had a wonderful day and I sure that next Easter, everyone will come back and do it all over again.

The resort is very busy, I think I can say that this is the busiest Easter holiday we have had. Tomorrow, another sunny day is forecast so if you are lucky enough to be here, enjoy!

Paramount to begin construction 15th January 2013

Friday, November 16th, 2012

It has been announced that The Paramount Park in Murcia will begin construction on 15th January 2013. This is wonderful news for everyone, a date for the start of construction. It has been marked as a turning point in the perception of the project.

“We will continue to meet all the milestones.”

The counsellor, who recently travelled to New York with Jesus Samper to take part in many meetings with potential investors is certain that, “investors are coming” there is no deadline for attracting investors, they are coming. ” We are fully convinced that this is the time to invest in leisure “ . “Future is leisure”

Paramount has emphasized support for the project in the Murcia region “it is a priority for Europe we are completely calm”

The local government are under criticism of course as they try and pull this mammoth project together. To ask for job creation and to ask for wealth and then to call our efforts not realistic is not fair and does not support the community. “It is a contradiction in the extreme” , he has told Europa Press , “I do not understand these words” , it is, according to Pedro Alberto Cruz , an “absolute disloyalty to Murcia investments and to all the effort that is being made”

For some, the dream of working on this project will become a reality, as jobs will be created by this project at the start of next year.

Whenever someone tries to do something great, it always makes some people nervous. I have been following this project on this website for nearly 2 years now, I have remained positive that this project will come to fruition, for me it is the only way to be. It is better to say, I was wrong than to damn anything before it even gets started.

There is a big need for jobs in Spain and if Paramount Murcia opens, as I think it will, Condado owners and the whole Murcia region will see big financial changes and stability.

Congratulations to Alhama and all involved for bringing this project another step closer.

The weather cools down but things are still hotting up in Al Kasar

Friday, August 31st, 2012

Well the last day of August has cooled the temperatures on Condado De Alhama but things are still hotting up in Al Kasar. Carol Miller today opened her doors on her brand new shop located in Al Kasar next door to La Cata, but she wants you to help her put a name to the first Condado retail shop. Submit your idea for the name of the store and if you win and your name is chosen you will win a wine hamper.

Leave your entries on our facebook page, or jot it on a piece of paper and hand it to Carol or Ashley in the store.

Carol is selling something for everyone, a great little shop to browse around, sunglasses, bikinis, bedding, household items, handbags, gifts, golfing gear..its a little treasure den. The prices are very reasonable and with Ashley, Carol and little Tom to entertain you it is bound to be a favourite place to pop in and shop. Carol has been a resident on Condado since the beginning and I am sure everyone will support her and wish her all the luck in her new venture. Make sure you stop in and say hi.

So, now on to naming the store…. My entry, Treasure Den.

Good luck in the future Carol and may your venture bring you all the success you deserve.

BUY your raffle tickets ONLINE your chance to win a NEW CAR

Thursday, July 19th, 2012

So many of you that are not able to come to Condado De Alhama to buy your raffle tickets for the NEW CITROEN C3 to be drawn in August have requested the opportunity to support our resort and buy your tickets online…you requested it, and Lynn and Neil of The Clover Bar have listened. You can now take part in the draw and buy your tickets ONLINE using PayPal.

Visit THE CLOVER website by clicking here to buy your ticket NOW

Someone on the resort bought 100 TICKETS in support of the Condado De Alhama medical support team. The original name published for the team was F:A:S:T: but this name was opposed by Camposol so we now have a brand new name for our team C.P.R (Condado Primary Response). The funds from the car raffle will go to our very own group of volunteers that have agreed to attend training and be on call in order to assist you in the case of an emergency on the resort. This team will not take the place of a trained medical professional but they will be at your side and will be trained to do the right things until the professionals arrive.

Don´t worry if you do not want a car in Spain, it will be yours and you can sell it the next day for cash or you can donate it. The odds are good!

Only 1400 Tickets will be sold and we are about half way there, so buy now and do your part to support us. We will stream the draw LIVE on Condado TV so you will even be able to tune in and join in the fun on the day.

If tickets are sold out before August 19th, we will do the draw on that day at the fiesta…so lets get buying Condado.
