Something happening at Sabores, you can smile about

The popular Sabores at Al Kasar has been under yet more renovations and improvements in preparation for Easter, the beginning of the long season on Condado De Alhama. The coffee bar and leather couch lounge has proved to be so popular that they have now decided to keep this area and to move the ice cream parlour into its own little shop window. The improvements look like this.

First they added a wall inside the coffee lounge and bar area to make a separate area and then..

The New Outside, Sabores coffee lounge AND 5 sabores ice cream parlour!

Now with only the finishing touches to go, they are sure to be ready in time for the season and everyone will be happy. Those that enjoy the comfort of the coffee lounge and bar and those that love the different ice creams.

Meanwhile, other construction projects continue at full speed to be ready for the season. The American Diner, the French restaurant and a brand new furniture store all coming soon…real soon. Only a few vacant units left at Condado De Alhama, Al Kasar. More on those projects soon as we take a closer look at their developments this week.

Our fiestas are so much fun and are attended by thousands. This will be our 3rd fiesta season and already we can´t wait. The resort is booking up fast for July and August so if you plan to visit and need to rent an apartment book fast! We plan our fiestas over two months to give everyone a chance to attend at least one of them.

All owners of Condado De Alhama can now enjoy a 2mg internet service in their apartments, free of extra charges, this is due to the new contract signed and negotiated by Mileniun and the presidents of level 2.

All owners are advised to contact A2Z directly to start using this service. You will need to pay for the modem and activation but there will be no extra monthly costs, just like your cable TV the charges are in your community fees already so connect and enjoy.

If you connect a wireless modem, consider leaving your new signal open, if all owners do this we will have one massive wifi area called Condado. It will be excellent for guests, kids and everyone to enjoy their many devices whilst on holiday. Imagine, laying by the pool while using skype to contact your relatives back at home.

The summer is just around the corner so don´t leave connecting to the internet to the last minute, the demand will be high so place your order now by clicking the picture above. The Espuña Regional Park is somewhere many who visit Condado De Alhama never explore, and yet it is so close and so beautiful. Full of wildlife, BBQ areas and stunning walks and scenery. Follow through the town of Alhama and start the climb up the mountain following the sign for the park, (Parque). The roads are good and the day will be truly enjoyable. If you have a good camera you can even get some interesting pictures of Condado from the top of the mountain. Although beautiful this time of year the park will also offer you some relief from the heat in the summer.

The visitor Center is open Tuesday to Sunday  from September to June: 10 to 14 h and 15-18 h
in July and August: 8:30 to 15:30

The Hotel Mariposa although outside of the park itself offers a wonderful introduction to the Espuñas, with some fantastic guided walks and bike tours on offer at the moment.

The English Spanish Conversation group now meet on Saturday Nights, the change of night was essential to accommodate our Spanish friends work schedules. The group meets at 8PM at Los Cinco Sabores, Al Kasar. If you are taking Spanish lessons and you want to put all you have learnt to practise this group is for you. All levels are welcome.

Last week, any excuse for a party after the session had ended the group continued singing Spanish and dancing well into the early hours of Sunday morning. It´s a great atmosphere, very friendly and hopefully you will meet some new friends.

I am not sure what Paul and Neil of the Condado Club and Clover are doing here but the picture was sent to me and it was too good not to include in our daily news. I am sure, like the rest of the resort they are getting ready for the start of the busy season on Condado, although with no woman present to direct the boys they could just be seeing who can reach the highest…

Both the Condado Club and the Clover have events going on that you are not going to want to miss. The Clover have QUIZ FRIDAY, a really really popular night, lots of fun and starting from March 1st you can come at 7pm for a curry to get you all spiced up..you know spicy food is brain food so come early. The quiz starts at 8.30pm.

The Condado Club have their Mexican Theme menu special on Thursday nights, from 6pm onwards fpr only 10€ per person, this also has been very popular and BINGO on Wednesday nights.

Remember, the Kids Club is open and Ian is looking forward to seeing all the kids that come on half term break. The kids club will also be open all through the Easter holidays so get in touch and book the kids in or just come along to the Condado Club for times.

This weeks Mazarron Carnival included some of our own Condado resident children for the first time. Murcia Dance were invited to take part in the Mazarron carnival, a big honour and the kids were excited. Murcia Dance is a non profit project member of the Arts & Cultural Association of Murcia. Murcia Dance aims are for participants of all ages and abilities to have fun, burn off energy, build confidence, develop skills and raise aspirations for the future within a safe and caring environment. Louise Brenmer at Murcia dance does a wonderful job with the children and Leeanne and Ian Croarkins girls were a part of the fun along with many children from Camposol and the surrounding areas.

The kids were not the only ones having fun, Ian Croarkin from the Condado Kids Club looked like he was enjoying the family day and atmosphere.

Living in Spain includes fiestas, parades and carnivals, dressing up and having fun. Being asked to take part is an honour. Well done Murcia Dance and all the kids that took part. You all looked FAB!

La Isla is looking beautiful, with all the old temporary electric poles gone the view and the gardens for a lot of the apartments has really improved over the last few days. It makes a big difference, even though you get used to the poles being there you really notice them gone. Another improvement for La Isla this week is a new Post House on the entrance.

La Isla properties are back on the market now following them being withdrawn for a few weeks as the banks re shuffled. You can get a fantastic La Isla apartment starting at 57,750€ with up to 80% financing. We have had 1 three bedroom fantastic apartment come back on the market for under 80.000€ but as you can imagine it will sell fast.
