New Opening Times at The Clover
Posted in: Resort Updates | Comments (0)
Starting September all bars and restaurants on Polaris World resorts will have new opening times. Some of course will close completely for the season. The Clover Bar on Condado De Alhama will now open at 11am and remain open till 1.30am Monday through Thursday, Friday through Sunday it will open at 11am but remain open till the later time of 2.30am The Limonero and Acacia will be closed after this Sunday for the season.
The club house looks as though it will not be coming to the rescue of hungry and thirsty golfers either anytime soon as there appears to be a Spanish delay or change of heart in that department. We will be watching to see what Polaris does in the way of a coffee shop, coming soon. It is planned that the Clover will begin to serve food when the restaurant closes so with the longer opening hours this should be fine for owners and guests in the meantime.

Fire in Murcia: Stabilized, but uncontrolled Warns Valcarsel.
Posted in: Murcia Regional News | Comments (0)
A forest fire that has already claimed 1,000 hectares has affected the Sierra del Molino, Sierra La Sierra Albalda and the Palera. The smoke cloud can be seen from Condado De Alhama. Guardia Civil had to evacuate houses in the area of Almadenes Power Station, and close a mian road to the town of Cieza .
Several Helicopters and cargo planes from Ministry of Environment, Albacete, Andalusia, Granada and Jaen are all working on this forest fire that has claimed some valuable pine forests.
Areas of caution would be North of Murcia between Cieza and Calaspara. It should not affect travelers coming to the resort from either airport.

The meet starts at 7pm it is a night to sit and enjoy the Clover bar atmosphere at Al Kasar with friends new and old.
A new full time resident was there to show us the newest and youngest member of the Condado family having recently moved into Jardin 1. What a wonderful place to bring up a baby.
We hope that you join Barry, Graham and of course us at the Clover throughout the year, the evening has been a great success throughout the summer and will continue for as long as… you keep coming.

Welcome golfers.

The busy days of summer are over, the kids are back at school all over Europe and at Condado De Alhama it is much quieter. The temperature today was a very nice 36 degrees but with the cooler evenings some would say this is the best time of the year to visit Condado De Alhama.
The Jack Nicklaus Signature course will bring people from all over Europe to test their golfing skills so, with the golfing season upon us it’s out with the kids…. and in with the golf. Enjoy your game at Condado De Alhama this season. Our golf meet at the Clover happens every week at 7PM, where you can sign up to play with the resorts golf association or just come on down for a drink to meet neighbors and friends.

Condado de Alhama Restaurant Closes September 6
Posted in: Resort Updates | Comments (1)
The Condado de Alhama Golf Resort located outside of Alhama de Murcia has posted on it’s window that Polaris World has decided to close the restaurant on September 6. The restaurant located inside the Al Kasar, stayed busy all season long, even turning away business because they were so busy. The decision to close was not stated on the flyer taped to the window, nor when it would reopen. With a majority of owners and holiday rentals coming to this Golf Resort from through out Europe, it leaves them with no other option for dining out on site. With tens of thousands to spend each month they have to go off site to spend it. Well, the good news is that other restaurants will be more than happy to take up the business left by the closing of this fine restaurant.

NEW COFFEE SHOP on CONDADO?
Posted in: Resort Updates | Comments (0)
Polaris World has filed in Alhama de Murcia for consideration of a Coffee Shop on the Condado de Alhama Golf Resort, located south of the city of Murcia. The location of the shop was not disclosed other than being positioned on the Golf Resort, (R2.2 and R12). A 10 day request for opinions has been filed in Office of Alhama. David Ré Soriano, El Secretario has signed the document and may be able to shed more light on this subject.
More services considered at the Golf Resort is a welcome bit of news for owners who depend on these type of services for full exposure and enjoyment of their Holiday and Vacation Apartments.

Possible Closing Nears
Posted in: Resort Updates | Comments (0)
It seems the rumors are true. I’ll miss being able to pop down to the Al Kasar restaurant for a hot meal and a chat.
Looks like the Condado de Alhama Golf Resort’s Restaurant will at least down size and possible close for a period. Haven’t heard for sure when or the reason why Polaris World is considering this decision to close but like everything else we will read about the decision when we arrive for a meal and the sign will be posted informing us all. So like everyone else the hopes of Ola Golf’s putting together a Club House and offering a pub and a place to eat will be a welcome. On a bright note the Clover is now selling cigarettes in a machine, so no waiting in line for those.

Hawaiian Night at Al Kasar….FULLY BOOKED!
Posted in: Resort Updates, Social News | Comments (0)
The Hawaiian Night at Al Kasar got off to a shaky start, Polaris World had decided that they would reserve all the tables outside, not to first comers..as would seem smart, but to anyone that knew they could reserve one. Of course this was all done in a Polaris Hush Hush manner.
As normal, party seekers flocked to Al Kasar at 9.30PM to locate a seat only to find them all reserved…that didn’t go down well and after a short stint with the security it was decided unanimously that they guests seated would remain seated and the extra tables would come from… the restaurant.
Once everyone was seated.. the party began and was another great success with music and entertainment going on into the night. Grass skirts, Drinks, fancy dance moves and laughter flowed freely, well into the early hours of the morning.
Polaris World did a good job of upsetting another very important group yesterday as well, the golf association that played yesterday went for their usual meeting at Al Kasar for the days presentations to find, no drinks and no cushions. It seems the bar staff were way too busy wrapping trees to serve drinks.
What can you do, when in Spain do as they do in Spain.. sleep and smile.

Our weekly parties at Al Kasar, Condado De Alhama are becoming something everyone looks forward to. Every week it seems Polaris World goes a little further in the preparations and entertainment. Already today, despite the extreme heat decorations for the Hawaiian Party are underway.
The temperature today is 43 degrees, tomorrow is set to be even hotter. The evening is set to be a comfortable 28 degrees cool enough to dance the night away. If you are at Condado De Alhama or in the area, don’t miss what is bound to be a great night.
The stage is set..
The trees are wrapped, the bar is ready….grass skirts to come later.
Come on down to the Clover for some summer fun, can’t make it…check back tomorrow for the pictures of what you missed.

Polaris World joins Clover and Limonero Restaurant
Posted in: Resort Updates | Comments (0)
The Al Kasar located on Polaris World’s Condado de Alhama Golf Resort, which contains the Clover and Limonero has been joined by a new passage way. A new door is being fitted to join forces.
Whether Polaris World installed this entrance because of the winter months that are coming, which will make the travel between both establishments much easier on the public. We are glad that this has been done, as it may possibly give food service to the bar patrons as well.

Expanding service
This summer has been very busy so any improvements are welcomed. No sign of a coffee shop yet, but maybe next summer they can open one in one of the entrances to the supermarket for the early birds. They do have a bakery and fresh fruit to serve up. Just a thought. The restaurant does open at 11 and serves coffee and tapas.
